Inverness Rowing Club member Ruth Hobson gains her Scottish team colours this weekend as part of the Scottish Junior team competing in the Home International Regatta on Saturday at Strathclyde Park,near Hamilton.

Strong teams of Junior and Senior athletes from England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland compete in this annual competition in Eights, Fours, Coxless Pairs, Quadruple Sculls, Double Sculls and Single Sculls.

Ruth, who has been competing with her colleagues from Aberdeen University in regattas this season, has been selected to take part in two events, the Eights and Coxed Fours.
