Inverness Rowing Club members are competing on the waters of the River Thames at Henley over the next two week period.

In the Britannia Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, Alan Sinclair is a member of the Aberdeen Boat Club coxed four which tackles a seeded crew from Mortlake Anglian & Alpha Boat Club in their first round and are confident of progressing to the quarter finals on Friday. Semi-finals and final are on Saturday and Sunday respectively and the small band of Inverness supporters will be on hand to give welcome encouragement to the Aberdeen crew in their attempt to become only the second Scottish crew to achieve success at Henley.

The following weekend sees another three Inverness oarspeople competing at Henley when Mandy Towrie, Susanne Standish-Hunter and Hazel Smith are members of Double Sculling and Quadruple Sculling crews at the Henley Masters Regatta.

Last year Mandy and Susanne won the Veteran C Double Sculls and this year's squad are keen to emulate that success and bring another crop of medals back to Inverness.
