The third National Assessment Long Distance Time Trial to be held in Scotland
this winter was held on the Caledonian Canal in Inverness on Saturday 25th
February. Senior athletes from Scotland and some based in England took part
with the favourable windless conditions of the Womens Division 1 allowing the
women to produce satisfactory times on the 5000 metre course.
Difficult headwind conditions had a significant effect on times recorded in
the Mens Division 2 event with times being over 2 minutes slower than
anticipated as a result of the strong gusty wind which also had an effect on
crews' steering.
Times posted by the fastest crews in the event categories in the respective
divisions are listed as follows:-
- Division 1 - Women
