Last weekend at the Aberdeen Fours and Small Boats Head of the River Races on the River Dee, Inverness Rowing Club were represented by junior and senior athletes in the various events which took place over the two day regatta.
Fastest crew on Saturday's Fours Head was the Aberdeen Boat Club's Mens Open Coxed Four of Misha Muller, Ross Cruikshank, Alan Sinclair (also Inverness RC), Andrew Crossland and Meadbh Boyle (cox) which was just outside the course record with an excellent time of 10 minutes 12 seconds over the 3000m course. Also on Saturday, Maeve Lewis was a member of an Aberdeen, Inverness, Glagow composite crew which recorded a quick time of 11 minutes 15 seconds in their Quadruple Scull.
Inverness athletes turned out in greater numbers for Sunday's Small Boats Head in which Tom Baker and Alastair Duff sculled well in the Mens Veteran Single Sculls in which Baker just missed out on 1st place by a mere one second.
