NATIONAL ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS of GREAT BRITAIN

This weekend from 17th to 19th July, the GB National Rowing Championships take
place at the Holme Pierrepoint rowing lake at Nottingham.
Current Scottish champions in both womens junior 14 and junior 15 coxed
quadruple sculls, Inverness members Meghan Hunter from Dingwall and Rachael
Wells from Inverness will contest the womens junior 14 event at Nottingham in
a composite crew alongside Catlin Horsburgh and Emma McDonald with Emma
Brander in the coxes seat from Castle Semple Rowing Club.
Ross-shire oarsmen Colin Sinclair and his elder brother Alan will compete in
sculling and sweep oared events. Colin will race on the Under 23 single sculls
event whilst Alan will race in double sculls, coxless fours and eights events
in Leander crews with a variety of crewmates.
Two other former Inverness club members will also race at Nottingham. Clyde
ARC member and current Scottish single sculling champion Imogen Walsh, will
race in the lightweight single sculls and also be in the stroke seat of the
Clyde ARC/Glasgow University BC/Glasgow RC/Aberdeen University BC/Edinburgh
University BC composite eights crew in the womens eights event. Colin
Williamson (Leander) will race in the coxless fours and eights events.
