BRITISH ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

This weekend from 16th to 18th July, the British Rowing Championships take
place on the multi-lane international rowing course at Strathclyde Park near
Hamilton.
Current Scottish champions in womens junior 16 quadruple sculls, Inverness
members Meghan Hunter, Rozy Shepherd and Kirsty Guild from Dingwall and Eilean
Mackenzie from Inverness will contest the womens junior 16 event at
Strathclyde Park whilst Meghan and Caitlin Horsburgh from Castle Semple Rowing
Club will compete in the womens junior 15 double sculls. Rachael Wells from
the Inverness club sculls in the womens junior 15 single sculls event.
Ross-shire oarsmen Colin Sinclair and his elder brother Alan will compete in
sculling events. Colin will race on the Under 23 single sculls event whilst
Alan will race in the single sculls event and with Dave Bell, his former
clubmate from Leander Club, in the double sculls event. Clyde ARC member and
current Scottish single sculling champion Imogen Walsh from Inverness, is
expected to race in the womens lightweight single sculls event.
