INVERNESS FOURS AND SMALL BOATS HEADS - 19th & 20th November

This weekend on Saturday and Sunday, 19th and 20th November sees an excellent
entry of fours and small boats competing in the club's two day Inverness
Fours and Small Boats Heads which take place on the superb rowing waters of
the Caledonian Canal in Inverness.
A record entry of almost 250 crews representing clubs from all over Scotland
including a large entry from Scottish University Rowing Clubs will be
travelling to Inverness to compete in this highly significant event in the
Scottish rowing calendar. Racing starts at 11.30am and 2pm on Saturday and
11am and 1.30pm on Sunday over the 4500 metre course from Dochgarroch to the
finish line beside the club boathouse close to Tomnahurich Bridge. The Fours
Head races take place on Saturday with the Small Boats racing taking place on
Sunday.
In conjunction with all the racing taking place in Inverness this weekend, the
Scottish Rowing Awards Dinner is being held on Saturday evening in the Mercure
Hotel (formerly Ramanda Jarvis/Caledonian Hotel) in Church Street, Inverness
when a range of important and significant awards will be presented to
outstanding Scottish oarsmen, oarswomen, coaches and volunteers who have
excelled at their sport nationally and internationally in 2011. :D
