Britain's best rowers inspired a new generation last weekend, returning
to the scene of their Olympic triumphs at Dorney Lake to race with club-mates
at the Diamond Jubilee Championships, a test regatta which will become the
national crew championships in future years.
The completely new format merged international medallists with young hopefuls,
racing in just two different events on each day.
Lightweight former world champion Imogen Walsh from Inverness gave London RC
an outstanding win in the women's double sculls on the Saturday with Molesey
oarswoman Ruth Walczak.
