INVERNESS FOURS AND SMALL BOATS HEADS - RESULTS REPORT

A record entry of over 359 crews was received for the Inverness Fours and Small Boats Heads which took place in sunny and relatively calm weather conditions on Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th November on the superb rowing waters of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness over a 4200m course from Dochgarroch to the Inverness Rowing Club Clubhouse.

Much excellent racing was witnessed on both days of the competition with the host club winning both Men's Novice Single Sculls and Men's Veteran Double Sculls on the Sunday.

In the Fours Head on Saturday, the fastest men's crew of the day and winning the traditional set of mounted antlers were the Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association/Aberdeen BC Open Coxless Quadruple Sculls crew stroked by Lewis McCue in a time of 14 minutes and 27 seconds. The fastest women's crew was the Open Coxless Quadruple Sculls crew from Strathclyde Park RC/Reading RC, stroked by Natalie Irvine in a time of 16 minutes and 2 seconds.

In the Small Boats events on the Sunday, fastest men's crew of the day was the
Clydesdale ARC Open Junior 16 Double Scull stroked by Giacomo Galano which recorded a fine time of 16 minutes and 16 seconds. The fastest women's crew was the Open Double Scull from Strathclyde Park RC/Reading RC, stroked by Sally Pollok-Morris in a time of 17 minutes and 45 seconds.
