Hazel Geddes and Hazel Smith made the long trip to Nottingham on Saturday to
race in the British Rowing Masters Championships at the National Water Sports
Centre at Holm Pierrepont on Sunday 19th May. In company with their crew mates
from Belfast Boat Club, they convincingly won the final of the women's
veteran D eights, beating off strong challenges from three English club
eights. :D
Earlier in the day they sculled well in their heat of the women's veteran
C double sculls to qualify for the final where they narrowly missed out on a
medal position.
Meanwhile at the Clydesdale ARC regatta on the River Clyde at Glasgow Green on
Saturday 18th May, Dave Rothwell and John Sharkey raced well in the final of
the men's veteran E coxless pairs beating a crew from Glasgow RC but were
beaten in the final of the men's veteran E/F double sculls by a composite
crew from Clydesdale ARC/Loch Lomond ARC.:D
