Inverness Rowing Club members to race in the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju, South Korea

Two Inverness club members are part of Team GB which competes in the World
Rowing Championships being held for the first time in South Korea on a
completely new facility in Chungju.
Lining up to face the top international athletes from other nations will be
2011 World Champion quadruple sculler and World Cup medallist Imogen Walsh
from Inverness and three times Henley Royal Regatta winner and World Cup
medallist Alan Sinclair from Belmaduthy in Ross-shire.
Imogen will race in the women's lightweight double sculls event along
with her crewmate and fellow world champion Kathryn Twyman, whilst Alan teams
up with Scott Durant, Matthew Tarrant and Nathaniel Reilly-O'Donnell to
race in the men's coxless fours event.
The GB Team have been in South Korea for the past week making final
preparations at their training camp base prior to racing at Chungju. The World
Rowing Championships start on Sunday 25th August and continue until the final
day on Sunday 1st September.
