This weekend on Saturday 21st February sees a significant entry of eights and small boats competing in the club’s JBT Inverness Eights and Small Boats Head which takes place on the superb rowing waters of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness.
Over 90 crews representing clubs and universities from all over Scotland will be travelling to Inverness to compete in this highly significant event in the Scottish rowing calendar with several Inverness crews racing in each division.
Racing over the 4500 metre course from Dochgarroch to the finish line beside the club boathouse close to Tomnahurich Bridge starts at 12 noon for crews in division 1 and at 2.30pm for crews in division 2
Meanwhile, at the GB rowing team’s winter assessment long distance trials held last weekend at Boston, Lincolnshire, Belmaduthy oarsman Alan Sinclair and his pairs partner Nathaniel Reilly-O’Donnell claimed a fine third place finish in the men’s heavyweight coxless pairs event.
