Next weekend sees members of Inverness Rowing Club travelling to the annual two day Scottish Championships regatta which incorporates the Scottish Schools Rowing Championships on the eight lane international course near Hamilton. A wide age range of Inverness members will contest a variety of sculling and rowing events in junior, senior and veteran categories at this significant regatta which has attracted a large entry of crews from clubs, universities and colleges throughout Scotland.
Meanwhile, two athletes from Inverness Rowing Club are members of the GB rowing team which has been selected for the three day World Rowing Cup regatta in Varese, Italy from 19th to 21st June. Imogen Walsh has been selected to race in the women’s lightweight double sculls with her crew mate Eleanor Piggot whilst Alan Sinclair and his crew mates Nathaniel Reilly O’Donnell, Tom Ransley and Scott Durant will race in the men’s coxless fours event.
