Next weekend sees members of Inverness Rowing Club travelling to the annual two day Scottish Championships regatta which incorporates the Scottish Schools Rowing Championships on the eight lane international course near Hamilton.

A wide age range of Inverness members will contest a variety of sculling and rowing events in junior, senior and veteran categories at this significant regatta which has attracted a large entry of crews from clubs, universities and colleges throughout Scotland.

Meanwhile at last weekend's World Cup Regatta in Belgrade, Alan Sinclair raced in the No 6 seat of the GB Mens 8 which claimed a fine silver medal racing to within less than half a length of the World Champions Eight from Germany.
