Last weekend saw a squad of keen Inverness oarspersons taking part in a training weekend on the spectacular waters of Loch Laggan in 'Monarch of the Glen' country.
Saturday saw the members out in variable wind and water conditions in four separate sessions under the critical eyes of coaches Ian Hunter and Peter Cook, whilst the sessions on Sunday were unfortunately curtailed in the afternoon due to the onset of extremely wet and windy weather. A most worthwhile camp was enjoyed by all who took part.
This Saturday, crews from Inverness Rowing Club travel to Glasgow to take part in the Clydesdale ARC regatta on the River Clyde at Glasgow Green.
Alastair Duff is entered in Mens Restricted 2 and Veteran B Single Sculls
whilst father and son Roy and Colin Sinclair enter in the Generation Double
Sculls with the 'old man' also taking part in Veteran F Single Sculls.
Also on Saturday, Alan Sinclair is involved in Squad Training at Strathclyde
Park with the Scottish Junior squad in preparation for selection for the Home
Countries International to be held this coming July in Cork, Southern
Ireland.
